 Ms Knapp I am very excited to be working with you in world social studies this year. I completed my undergraduate studies in Humanities and Italian Studies at John Cabot University, Rome, Italy. I have a Masters in the Art of Teaching in Secondary Social Studies from Georgia State University and completed 9 courses on a second Master’s in World History, also from Georgia State. I am finishing my final courses and exams this year. I am Georgia Certified to teach K-12, TAG, Social Studies, History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Art, Reading, and Middle Grades Math. I am also certified to teach Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Italian.
My greatest interest is to help teach students to understand people of other nations, ethnicities, religions, and climates in a growing globalized society. Having lived abroad for several years and having traveled to 45 countries, I believe that learning about other cultures is extremely important, especially as technology continues to shrink the physical and information divides among people and nations.
